DISCOVERY CHANNEL India’s fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (1592-1666), used 20,000 workers and 1,000 elephants to construct the Taj Mahal and surrounding buildings in the city of Agra as a mausoleum for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, after she died in 1631. Members Orla, Mairead, Meav, Lisa and Chloe perform the hymns “O Holy Night” and “Little Drummer Boy,” standards such as “White Christmas” and new pieces such as “Christmas Pipes.”
