According to a widely publicized study released in early May by Salary.com, if full-time, stay-at-home moms were paid in cash for all their work, they would earn an annual salary of $134,121 for all the tasks they take on. But not all mothers were convinced the question was even worth asking. “You can’t put a dollar value on [mothering],” Kristen Krauss, a 35-year-old mother of four, told Reuters news service. The rewards, she pointed out, are “worth a lot more” than money.
