‘Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep …’

A recent poll found that many people pray or do some sort of religious activity before they go to sleep.

The National Sleep Foundation’s 2010 “Sleep in America” poll reveals the sleep habits of four ethnic groups — including prayer.

The poll found that many people pray or do some sort of religious activity before they go to sleep every night or almost every night: 71% of blacks, 45% of Hispanics, 32% of whites and 18% of Asians reported doing so.

Too bad more don’t follow suit.

As Psalm 4:9 reminds us: “In peace I shall both lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me secure.”
