A new study shows that active older people tend to have more positive relationships with their adult children than do their inactive peers. “We initially predicted that people who had more demands on their time would have trouble staying close to their family,” said Karen Fingerman of , lead author of the study. “Instead, we found that those demands actually enrich the relationships. Busy people were more positive and focused less attention on others’ faults.”
