Two new studies, one in England and the other in Denmark, show that women who light up during pregnancy nearly triple the risk of later having their children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The main problem seems to be nicotine, a central-nervous-system stimulant that could get transmitted in utero.
