Wednesday!

New Year’s greetings. I’ve always loved one commentator’s observation that, for many Catholics he knows, “The favorite day of the week is Friday, when the National Catholic Register arrives.”

We wanted to remind readers that we have begun updating the Register website with the new issue’s material once a week on the Wednesday before the issue date.

You still have to subscribe in order to read it — it’s a subscriber-only site, for the most part. But if you want to be sure to see the newest issue as soon as it’s ready, reading it online is the way.

We do have free features on the site daily: daily Umbert the Unborn, daily Blog Watch, daily (Mon.-Fri.) Media Watch, and a daily featured story.

For the many readers who like to pass on stories from the paper, the website is a great way to get the article you need without having to cut up your issue.

NCRegister.com is our website. Check it out this Wednesday.
