He Is Risen, Alleluia!

Publisher's Note

This edition of the Register packs power and grace from three specific perspectives.

Not only is this our Easter issue, it is also our Divine Mercy Sunday issue. And we are also giving you a preview of our coverage of the historic occasion of Pope John Paul II’s beatification, which takes place May 1 in Rome.

In the next couple of issues, as well as on NCRegister.com, look for us to chronicle many factors (including a devotion to the Divine Mercy) that contributed to Karol Wojtyla’s sanctification and were significant in his spiritual life.

For the time being, I pray that Jesus’ resurrection and the Easter season, fortified by Divine Mercy Sunday and accented with our beloved John Paul II’s beatification, launch us into a new sense of mission with Christ.

As Mark Kalpakgian’s column on page 7 states, death does not have the final word — in St. Faustina Kowalska’s life, in Pope John Paul II’s life and in our own lives.
