Events Online and Suggestion Box

For years, in the last issue of each month, we have provided Catholics with a list of events in their area.

We are still compiling and producing this list of events. Only, now, we are offering it only online, at our website www.ncRegister.com.

We hope this will be easier to use for those readers who have only used the print version, and we hope it will lead more readers to discover our website. But we know it will save a lot of money in printing costs and on ever-increasing postal costs.

In publishing the Register every week, this is one of the many decisions we have to make that we practically have to guess about. We have received a few kind notes from event organizers thanking us for our listing, but how many readers actually used our listings of events? We weren’t sure. From now on, we will be able to track how many readers view it.

I always encourage readers to send us specific information about what they would like to see in the Register — or what they would like to see change.

We plan to formalize that request in an upcoming readers survey — when it is finalized, some of you will receive our questionnaire, and I encourage you to answer it.

But for all our readers: There is no need to be shy. If you have an observation that could improve the Register, a desire to see something changed, or a complaint, please do let us know about it. Just make sure you also let us know what is going well, so we can do more of it.
