Publisher's Note

Even if you’re neither a college-bound student nor a parent of one, you’ll want to read through Circle Media’s Catholic Identity College Guide. It will run as a pullout section in our next issue. Meanwhile, our book division, Circle Press, is preparing an expanded version in road-ready booklet format. Watch these pages for more on that.

The annual guide first came together five years ago, after Archbishop Michael Miller called for objective measures of Catholicity in Catholic academia. At the time he was secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education. Our editors came up with 10 essential markers of basic Catholic identity, then composed a straightforward Yes or No question for each. Finally, we invited all Catholic colleges and universities to answer it.

This year’s edition is the best and biggest ever. Don’t miss it!
