Lost in the Mail: Cardinal Baldisseri Allegedly Held Up Delivery of Pro-Marriage Book

Amid the reports that the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family last October was engineered to favor a particular point of view comes the latest news: A Vatican department allegedly intercepted dozens of copies of a new book written by five cardinals to prevent them being read by the majority of participants of last year’s Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family.

Anonymous sources claim that Remaining in the Truth of Christ, which reaffirmed Church teaching on marriage and the family, was mailed at the beginning of October to all the synod fathers in the Paul VI hall where the meeting was taking place, but many copies never reached their intended recipients. Reports of the book’s interception have also appeared on German sites in recent days, including Kathnet.
