Baby vs. Scalia in D.C.

I updated the post below with Archbishop Burke’s Notre Dame remarks at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast today.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia also spoke, and his son, a Virginia parish priest, gave the invocation.

Father Paul Scalia is used to being interrupted by crying babies when he speaks. His dad is not.

Several babies attend the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast every year. Joe Cella’s beautiful family, for instance, is always there.

While the elder Scalia was giving his talk (an address he has given before about Christians and cretins), a baby (not a Cella) began to shout rhythmically from the back of the room. The Supreme Court justice stopped, stared heavenward, and said, “I don’t know how Father Paul does it.”
