Pope Francis in Poland

EWTN On Wednesday, the Pope will arrive in Krakow, address government officials and the diplomatic corps, visit pro-life President Andrzej Duda and meet with bishops. On Thursday, in Czestochowa, he will venerate the Black Madonna icon at the Jasna Gora Monastery, celebrate Mass (4:30am) for the 1,050th anniversary of the baptism of Poland and address young people back in Krakow. On Friday, he will visit the Nazis’ Auschwitz and Birkenau death camps and return to Krakow to visit a children’s hospital and make a Way of the Cross with youth. On Saturday, the Holy Father will visit the Divine Mercy Shrine, walk through the holy door of mercy, hear confessions, say Mass at the St. John Paul II Shrine (4:30am), lunch with young people and hold a prayer vigil with youth at the “Field of Mercy.” On Sunday, he will say Mass in the Field of Mercy (4am), address World Youth Day organizers, benefactors and volunteers and fly home.
