EWTN At 4am, Pope Francis will celebrate the Solemn Mass of Easter Sunday (re-airs at 7pm). At 6am, the Holy Father will give the traditional papal Urbi et Orbi Message and Blessing (“To the city of Rome and to the world”) (re-airs at 6pm). At 8am, the Franciscan Fathers of the Eternal Word will celebrate the Solemn Mass of Easter Sunday in Irondale, Ala. At noon will be Easter Sunday Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. At 4pm, in Savoring Our Faith: Easter Special, Father Leo Patalinghug offers lessons from Scripture as he prepares an Easter dinner.

At 1pm, live, will be the Mass and Celebration of Divine Mercy from Stockbridge, Mass. At 4pm, live, will be the Divine Mercy Holy Hour from the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Ala. At 5:30pm, in Feasts and Seasons, Joanna Bogle discusses St. Faustina and prepares Pope St. John Paul II’s favorite Polish pastry.

Four German Bishops Resist Push to Install Permanent ‘Synodal Council’

Given the Vatican’s repeated interventions against the German process, the bishops said they would instead look to the Synod of Bishops in Rome. Meanwhile, on Monday, German diocesan bishops approved the statutes for a synodal committee; and there are reports that the synodal committee will meet again in June.
