Litany of the Saints on Friday

I have enjoyed Matt Maher’s sweet and simple version of the Litany of the Saints for quite some time now. I think I first saw it mentioned at Jennifer Fulwiler’s blog and it soon after found its way onto my iPod.

Listening to this short prayer never fails to make me smile and reflect on how fortunate we are to have access to such a vast variety of holy examples and real-life support in the Catholic Church.

Listen up and let the kids listen too. Perhaps this simple song will add some prayer and light to your weekend too.

Palestinian Christians celebrate Easter Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church in Gaza City on March 31, amid the ongoing battles Israel and the Hamas militant group.

People Explain ‘Why I Go to Mass’

‘Why go to Mass on Sundays? It is not enough to answer that it is a precept of the Church. … We Christians need to participate in Sunday Mass because only with the grace of Jesus, with his living presence in us and among us, can we put into practice his commandment, and thus be his credible witnesses.’ —Pope Francis
