Abortion Lobby Thinks Abortion Makes Good Comedy

It’s a commercial you might think some clever but unsavory pro-life folks created in order to make their opponents look bad. Really, really, terribly bad. But it’s not.

NARAL/Pro-Choice America created this video to highlight all the supposed barriers that stand between a pregnant mother and her “right” to get un-pregnant. It is nearly impossible to overstate how crude, callous, insulting and vile this piece of work is. But NARAL is quite proud of their work, wanting as many people to see it as possible. Ironically, pro-lifers want the same thing, perhaps even more so. It would advance the pro-life cause tremendously if every pair of eyes over the age of 15 viewed it. It’s that distasteful. It doesn’t show what abortion does to a child or the mother. It simply reveals the trite way some abortion advocates view this crisis so many women face.  You can watch it here, but do so with caution:

NARAL evidently thinks a woman flippantly trying to locate someone to end the life of her unborn child is fabulous fodder for a comedy bit. People go out for lunch with more consideration and reflection than this character shows. This video is a heart stopping bull-horn shouting just how calloused these people really are to life inside the womb and the tremendous virtue of pregnancy and motherhood, not to mention the terrible isolation, sadness and moral conflict most women feel at such a time. George Carlin, Richard Prior and Lenny Bruce would never go this far.

The larger takeaway here for Christians is to note just how tone-deaf genuine evil can be. Yes, Scripture tells us Satan can appear as a beautiful angel of light, but evil is usually unable to discern its own detestable stench. This video vividly demonstrates this fact.

Help NARAL show the world just how contemptible their values are by sharing their video far and wide.

Four German Bishops Resist Push to Install Permanent ‘Synodal Council’

Given the Vatican’s repeated interventions against the German process, the bishops said they would instead look to the Synod of Bishops in Rome. Meanwhile, on Monday, German diocesan bishops approved the statutes for a synodal committee; and there are reports that the synodal committee will meet again in June.

People Explain ‘Why I Go to Mass’

‘Why go to Mass on Sundays? It is not enough to answer that it is a precept of the Church. … We Christians need to participate in Sunday Mass because only with the grace of Jesus, with his living presence in us and among us, can we put into practice his commandment, and thus be his credible witnesses.’ —Pope Francis
