As many of you may have noticed, this week we enhanced NCRegister.com in numerous ways. Prior to this change, the technology upon which our website was built had grown outdated. We have been working for many months on an updated design and a new platform that better organizes our content behind the scenes. We launched the new website while at the same we still are working on some improvements and features.

During the initial stage of the transition, the Daily Register email was temporarily halted, but it has since resumed. We are grateful for your patience.

Transition always takes time and requires some flexibility. The new look and navigation may feel, well, new and different for a while (it feels that way for us too), but we hope that ultimately your experience will be better on our new platform and that soon you will feel right at home on our home page.

We are thankful for your invaluable feedback. Please keep in mind that the new site is still a work in progress. And, your readership and your prayers are very much appreciated.

Our upgrades were necessary so we can continue to bring you our solid Catholic content in this ever-changing technological landscape. Such enhancements come with considerable cost and your support helps keep us relevant. Please prayerfully consider supporting us financially here. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

National Catholic Register editor in chief Shannon Mullen

Shannon Mullen and Jonathan Liedl (Feb. 11)

The Register has a new editor in chief. EWTN announced last month that Shannon Mullen will lead the 95-year-old National Catholic Register. Shannon joins us to talk about his dedication to journalism and his mission in Catholic media. Jeanette and Matthew also talk with Register Senior Editor Jonathan Liedl about the highlights of his recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land and the ongoing strife in the region. And finally, we take another look at conflicting concepts of synod that continue to cause tension in the Church.
