We have reached the point where the new school year’s schedule has become routine, and we haven’t yet entered into the hectic “holiday season” yet. It’s a perfect time to update you on a few things happening at the Register. We are grateful to all the words of encouragement and appreciation we have received about our website, which we have been improving on for several months. We have made another improvement this month. The site used to include one featured, free article per week — the story accompanied by a photo at the top of the home page.

Now we have made the site more like an online magazine, by changing the featured story every weekday. That way, each day you log on you’ll find that the site includes a new feature as well as new “Media Watch” links.

Weekly newsletter. Make sure to sign up online for our weekly e-mail newsletter. This gives you the weekly schedule, telling you what is featured online on the website each day, and also lets you know about what else the Register is doing, online and off.

Online archive. Many of you use the Register to clip stories and pass them on. It has taken a long time, and there is still a lot of work ahead of us, but we are now adding stories to our online archive so that subscribers will be able to find important stories from the Register’s past several years.

Catholic Identity College Survey. Our Catholic identity college survey is also online now in a more usable format. Before, it was difficult to follow the online version of this valuable resource for Catholic parents. Now it’s easy.

Rosary Booklet Sale. Remember that the National Catholic Register’s Guide to the Rosary is half-price in October. To order, call (800) 356-9916, extension 3809.
