Hallowed Grounds

PBS This special visits some of the 23 U.S. military cemeteries from World Wars I and II that the American Battle Monuments Commission maintains in Europe, Tunisia and the Philippines. The cemeteries are home to 125,000 Americans, and they memorialize 94,000 more who are missing in action. A re-airing from 2009.

PBS This documentary tells the story of the largest commissioning of classical music in U.S. history. In 1948, the Louisville Orchestra started commissioning classical music pieces from composers worldwide. A re-airing.
