Can a Catholic take the name of a ‘Servant of God’ or ‘Venerable’ as a confirmation saint?

No, because they are not saints. Nor may one take the name of a "Blessed," as he or she is not a saint yet. Canonization is an infallible act, whereas any stage along the way is not, according to Colin Donovan, EWTN’s vice president of theology.
