ALL CHANNELS Almost every channel is airing programs in observance of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. Among them are History, Discovery, National Geographic, TLC, Smithsonian, ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC.

Secrets of Scotland Yard

PBS In this documentary, modern-day detectives recount legendary cases solved by Scotland Yard, the popular name for the Metropolitan Police Force of London, which was founded in 1829. Advisory: Discussion of some heinous crimes.

Serra: Ever Forward, Never Back

EWTN Illuminating historical context, stunning cinematography and moving re-enactments paint an inspiring portrait of the Franciscan friar who left his homeland to bring the Gospel to a new land. This docudrama was filmed on location in Spain, Mexico and California. Beginning with EWTN Live, host Father Mitch Pacwa, director Jim Kelty and historian Father Joe Scerbo take an in-depth look at Blessed Junipero Serra’s ministry. Then, at 9:30pm, watch the film’s world premiere.
