Tune into “Register Radio” at 2 p.m. ET today and here’s a taste of what you’ll hear.

In our first segment, 9-11 survivor Richard Mack retells his harrowing journey down the stairwell as he escaped the World Trade Center’s South Tower, and shares the role that his Catholic faith has played in the 10 years since the terrorist attack. You can also read Mack’s National Catholic Register column “Recalling 9-11: God is Always Present.”

In our “Media Watch” segment, Father Robert Barron, founder of Word on Fire ministries and the ambitious “Catholicism” television series joined us to talk about the media’s frequent distortion of the Church. Interestingly, Father Barron said that the level of hostility in the press towards the faith has increased since 9-11.

“The terrorist attacks gave rise to the old enlightenment belief that religion is irrational, and irrationality leads to violence,” said Father Barron.
