New Series in March

EWTN In Answering the Master’s Call, 2:30 p.m. Thursdays, priests, sisters and brothers extol their callings. In The Catholic Church: Builder of Civilization, 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thomas Woods Jr. reveals the Catholic role in Western civilization. Catholic Ireland, 11 a.m. Mondays, is a TV “magazine” about the Faith in Eire. The Eucharist, 9 p.m. Thursdays, is a youth-oriented show by Father Mariusz Koch. Adventures in Exodus, 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, is Tim Gray’s study of that Old Testament book. In The Family Hearth, 5:30 p.m. Mondays, lay brother and convert from Judaism Bob Fishman tells Bible stories. In Healing of the Spirit, 6 p.m. Fridays, Dominican Father Brian Mullady reveals the power of grace and the Redemption. Man and Woman, a Divine Invention, 2:30 p.m. Fridays, features Father Benedict Groeschel and Alice von Hildebrand. In The Great Heresies, 11:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Father Charles Connor shows how fighting heresy has sharpened understanding of the faith.

Wild Kingdom: Snow Leopard’s Lair

ANIMAL PLANET Cameraman Mark Smith and journalist Nisar Malim film the rarely seen snow leopard in Pakistan’s mountainous Chitral district in the Hindu Kush.

Shroud of Turin

Nova: Jewel of the Earth

PBS Naturalist David Attenborough and biologists discuss what we can learn about prehistory from the insects entombed in the fossilized tree resin we call amber. Many of these amber samples are from the Baltics and others from the Dominican Republic.
