Dogs With Jobs

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL At 9 a.m., canine Marty leads performances by dogs rescued from shelters, a shepherd mix pulls a teenager’s wheelchair and an Akita learns to obey. At 9:30 a.m., an Akita works at a hospital and a grade school, a German shepherd fights crime and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel adopts bunnies. TV-G.


TUESDAY-SATURDAY

Pope Benedict XVI Visits the USA

EWTN On Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., the Vicar of Christ will arrive at Andrews AFB and greet Catholic officials and President and Mrs. Bush. On Wednesday at 10 a.m., the president will host the Holy Father at a welcoming ceremony and private meeting. That same day at 5:30 p.m., His Holiness will pray with our bishops and speak at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in D.C.


On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Pope will celebrate Mass at Nationals Stadium in D.C. At 4:30 p.m., he will address Catholic university officials at The Catholic University of America; and at 6 p.m. he will pray with religious leaders at the John Paul II Cultural Center in D.C. On Friday at 9:30 a.m., Benedict will arrive at JFK International Airport in New York City. At 10:30 a.m., he will address the U.N.; and at 5:30 p.m., he will pray with leaders of other Christian denominations at St. Joseph’s in Manhattan.


On Saturday at 9 a.m., His Holiness will say Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral; at 4 p.m., he will pray with and address young people.


WEDNESDAY, 9 p.m.
