TUESDAY, JULY 14, 8 p.m., live

Major League Baseball’s

80th All-Star Game

FOX “To be good you’ve got to have a lot of little boy in you,” the great Brooklyn Dodgers catcher Roy Campanella once said about baseball. FRIDAY, JULY 17

Father Frank Remembered

CATHOLICTV Boston archdiocesan Father Frank McFarland, who directed CatholicTV for 25 years, died July 17, 2001, so on that date the station re-airs shows of his. In The Rosary, at 3 and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., Father McFarland prays the Rosary in tranquil settings. Four more of the priest’s shows will air today between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

MONDAY, JULY 20, 9 p.m.

History

Detectives

PBS Tonight, a phonograph record could reveal the role of writer Harry Brundidge in the eventually discredited treason trial of Iva Toguri D’Aquino (d. 2006), who was unfairly dubbed “Tokyo Rose” for her World War II Japanese radio shows; a Lakota-language note dated 1904 claims a photo accompanying it is that of Lakota war chief Crazy Horse (ca. 1840-1877); and experts try to find surviving relatives of a World War II U.S. pilot who was stationed in England and present his diary to them.

FRIDAY, JULY 24, 7 a.m.

Save Our History: Defining Documents

HISTORY The Articles of Confederation, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the most prominent among the texts that the National Archives and Records Administration has selected, mostly from its own holdings, as “100 Milestone Documents” of U.S. history from 1776 to 1965. Host Josh Binswanger tells the stories of some of the documents. Advisory: TV-PG.
