Papal Visit to Cyprus

EWTN, CATHOLICTV Pope Benedict XVI closes his stay in Cyprus, the first ever by a pope. EWTN will air the Holy Father’s Mass at the Eleftheria Sports Palace in Nicosia at 2:30am live (re-airing at 2pm) and his visit to the Maronite Cathedral of Our Lady of Graces at 11am (tape delay). Later, CatholicTV will air the Mass at noon and the farewell ceremony at 8pm. Schedules subject to change.

CATHOLICTV At 11:30am Tuesdays, 5am Wednesdays, 8am Fridays and 10:30pm Sundays, this one-hour block airs documentaries and short films. The week of June 7-13 presents “Healing Power” about Ireland-born Father Patrick Power, who died at age 25 in 1869 and the cures reported ever since at his grave in Malden, Mass. The week of June 14-20 features “Fighting the Good Fight: The Father Peter Whelan Story” about a Confederate chaplain from Ireland who died in 1871 from an illness he contracted when he ministered to Union soldiers in the horrific Andersonville prison camp in 1864.

EWTN Tonight’s guest, Benedictine Father Gregory Gresko, explains devotion and family consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
