EWTN In this new series, Barbara McGuigan and her guests describe how people discover faith in God, find happiness and conquer obstacles. On Nov. 5, Loyola Marymount philosophy professor Christopher Kaczor and his wife, Jennifer, discuss love and marriage (re-airs at 1:30am Nov. 10). On Nov. 12, Father Kilian McCaffrey of Phoenix tells how a Dubliner, Venerable Matt Talbot (1856-1925), overcame alcoholism and spent his last four decades in ascetic closeness to Christ (re-airs at 1:30am Nov. 17).

EWTN At 9am, The Donut Man supplies little ones with songs and gentle lessons about life. At 9:30am, My Little Angels tells about the angels and saints and other Catholic topics. At 10am, in Lucy and Friends, Sister Grace and her puppet friend Lucy talk about grace, the Eucharist and more. At 10:30am, Cat Chat helps kids learn about Jesus, Mary and everything Catholic. At 11am, Knights of St. Michael features young-adult actors in skits about living the faith.

MONDAY-TUESDAY, Nov. 12-13, live

USCCB Fall General Assembly

EWTN This year’s Fall General Assembly of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops takes place in Baltimore. Monday’s morning session begins at 10am. On Tuesday, the morning session starts at 9am, and the afternoon meeting is at 2pm. Topics will include the defense of marriage, rebuilding in Haiti, World Youth Day 2013 and the ordinariate for Anglicans wishing to enter the Church. Votes will be held on documents on the sacrament of penance, preaching, the economy and a bishop’s teaching office.

Wild Hawaii

ANIMAL PLANET This one-hour special pictures Hawaii’s spectacular landscapes and seascapes and the many coastal and marine creatures that flourish in them.
