PBS At 8pm, the new special Three Men Go to War examines the roles of President John F. Kennedy, Soviet dictator Nikita Khrushchev and Cuban tyrant Fidel Castro in the nuclear crisis of October 1962. At 9pm, Secrets of the Dead: The Man Who Saved the World tells the story of Vasili Arkhipov (1926-1998), a Soviet submarine officer who stopped the launching of a nuclear-tipped torpedo at a U.S. ship.

EWTN At 8am Thursday, the Mass of All Saints will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Irondale, Ala. In addition, on Thursday, specials on various saints, some well known and some not so well known, will air throughout the day. At 8am Friday will be the Mass of All Souls in Irondale (re-airs at noon, 6:30pm and midnight).
