Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

ABC A decrepit 300-year-old log cabin in Tilden Township, Pa., becomes a dream home for Trisha Urban. Trisha’s husband, Andy, died the day she went into labor with Cora, who is now 1. Not letting grief crush her, Trisha became a hospice nurse and raised funds for the American Heart Association. The new home and other financial help have brightened the future for mom and baby.


SUNDAY, Aug. 28, 10pm

George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL In this interview, taped in May, former President George W. Bush discusses his reaction to the attacks and reveals what went into his decision-making thereafter. Re-airings at 9pm and midnight Monday; 10pm Saturday, Sept. 3; and noon Sunday, Sept. 4. Advisory: TV-14 V.

Nova: Engineering Ground Zero

PBS This new special chronicles the design and construction of the One World Trade Center (1 WTC) and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.


FRIDAY-SATURDAY, Sept. 9-10

9/11: New Specials

HISTORY At 9pm Friday, 9/11: The Days After charts reactions to the attacks. At 9pm Saturday, Voices From Inside the Towers, made with families’ cooperation, presents audio messages sent from people inside the WTC. Advisory: intense emotion. A&E At 9pm Saturday, in Portraits From Ground Zero, Andrea Booher has people who were in her most famous photos of the 9/11 rescue-and-recovery operations share their stories. BIOGRAPHY CHANNEL At 10pm on Saturday, Beyond: Messages From 9/1 features people who believe that loved ones who died in the attacks have contacted them since then.
