Opening Mass, Fortnight for Freedom

EWTN Baltimore Archbishop William Lori will celebrate Mass in Baltimore’s Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to open the June 21-July 4 Fortnight for Freedom, a time in which our U.S. bishops are asking all Catholics to engage in prayer, education and action in defense of religious liberty now under government attack. Immediately after this Mass, Raymond Arroyo will host a 90-minute Special on Religious Liberty. The next morning, at 10am, Cardinal Timothy Dolan will celebrate a Mass for religious liberty in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.

Cunningham’s The Uncertain Revolution: Washington and the Continental Army (2007), this new documentary demonstrates how 10,000 American soldiers cleared 2,000 acres in the Watchung Mountains south of Morristown, N.J., and built a camp of log huts that enabled them to survive the fierce winter of 1779-1780 and resume America’s fight for independence in the spring.
