Holy Mass and Canonizations with Pope Francis

EWTN The Holy Father will canonize two Palestinians: Sister Mary Alphonsine Danil Ghattas (1843-1927), who founded the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of Jerusalem (the Rosary Sisters), and Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified Baouardy (1846-1878), a Discalced Carmelite nun of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. He will also canonize French Sister Émilie de Villeneuve (1811-1854), who founded the Sisters of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Castres, and Italian Maria Cristina dell’Immacolata Concezione Brando, who left a wealthy family to devote her life to Eucharistic spirituality. In Search of Christendom: The Chartres Pilgrimage

EWTN Every year at Pentecost, the Association Notre-Dame de Chrétienté (Our Lady of Christendom) conducts the ancient three-day, 60-mile pilgrimage from the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris to the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Chartres. The thousands of pilgrims walk in “chapters” of 50, each with its own chaplain, and they have daily Mass, as well as confession, the Rosary and other prayers. Re-airs at 3am and 6:30pm Monday.
