EWTN At 4am, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate Mass in St. Peter’s Square (re-airing at 7pm). At 6am, he will deliver his message and blessing urbi et orbi (to the city and to the world) (re-airing at 6pm Sunday and 2am and 6pm Monday). At 8 am, the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word celebrate Mass.

The Masters

CBS Today’s final round of this venerable golf tournament takes place at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

SUNDAY-MONDAY, April 9-10, 8pm

Titanic Centennial Specials

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL On Sunday at 8pm, in Titanic: The Final Word, With James Cameron, explorer Cameron, who directed the 1997 film Titanic, enlists experts to examine the movie in light of technology since then. On Monday at 10pm, in Save the Titanic, With Bob Ballard, explorer Ballard visits Belfast’s shipyards and speaks with the families of Titanic victims and survivors.

TUESDAY, April 10, 8pm

The Titanic, With Len Goodman

PBS Host Goodman conducts interviews and discusses the Titanic’s builders, ship’s band, victims and survivors. Re-airs at 10pm Friday and 8pm Saturday.

SUNDAY, April 15, noon, 1pm, 4pm, live

Divine Mercy Sunday

EWTN In 2000, Pope John Paul II established the Second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday. In the 1930s, Jesus told St. Faustina Kowalska, “I desire that the feast of mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. … The soul that will go to confession and receive holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. … Let no soul fear to draw near to me, even though its sins be as scarlet.” At noon is the Divine Mercy Preview Show. At 1pm is the Mass and Celebration of Divine Mercy at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass. At 4pm is the Divine Mercy Holy Hour from Hanceville, Ala.

Titanic at 100: Mystery Solved

HISTORY This new special follows deep-sea experts’ 2010 high-tech study and mapping of the 15 square miles of ocean floor that comprise the wreckage site.

FRIDAY, April 20, 6:30pm

Rebuilding the Faith: Ukraine’s Lviv Seminary

EWTN This 2006 documentary tells the story of Holy Spirit Seminary in Lviv. During decades of Soviet atheistic, communist persecution, this Greek Catholic seminary operated underground at great risk. But freedom returned in 1989, and now vocations thrive in a beautiful facility on the former site of a communist youth camp.
