SUNDAY-THURSDAY, March 25-29

Papal Visit to Mexico and Cuba

EWTN At 10am Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI will say Mass in Leon, Mexico. At 6pm, he will preside at vespers with the bishops of Mexico and Latin America. On Monday at 2pm, he will deliver an address in Santiago de Cuba. At 5:30pm, he will say Mass for the 400th anniversary of the finding of the image of Cuba’s patron saint, La Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre (Virgin of Charity of Cobre). At 9:30am Tuesday, Pope Benedict will visit Our Lady’s shrine. At noon he will arrive in Havana. At 7:15pm, the Pope will meet and dine with Cuba’s bishops. At 9am Wednesday, he will say Mass in Havana’s Revolution Square. At 4:30pm, he will deliver an address and then leave for home. Check EWTN.com for schedule updates.

Frozen Planet

DISCOVERY CHANNEL The team that created Planet Earth labored for four years in extreme conditions to produce this new documentary on the polar regions. Summer airs on March 25 and Winter on April 1. Advisory: Scenes of struggles for survival.

MONDAY, March 26, 10pm

Inside Fenway Park: An Icon at 100

PBS This new documentary tells the story of America’s oldest baseball stadium, the home of the Boston Red Sox. Re-airing at 8pm Tuesday.

SUNDAY, April 1, live

Palm Sunday

EWTN Pope Benedict XVI will preside at the Mass of Palm Sunday. At 8am, the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word will celebrate Mass, and, at noon, Mass will take place in Washington at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Check EWTN.com for schedule updates.

Saving the Titanic

PBS This new documentary examines the sinking of the RMS Titanic in the North Atlantic on April 15, 1912. Re-airings at 10:30pm April 6 and at 9pm April 10 and 14.

Major League Baseball’s Opening Night

MLB.TV The Miami Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals.

THURSDAY-SATURDAY, April 5-7, live

The Triduum

EWTN On Holy Thursday, Pope Benedict will preside at the Chrism Mass at 3:30am and, later, the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. On Good Friday, he will preside at the Solemn Celebration of Our Lord’s Passion and the Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum. On Holy Saturday, the Pope will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass.
