Modern Marvels: The Tackle Box

HISTORY “Then God said: Let the water teem with an abundance of living creatures …” (Genesis 1:20). Fishing is a universal human experience, one that Jesus and the apostles knew well. This show chronicles fishing from ancient Egypt onward and zeroes in on rod-and-reel angling. A re-airing.

Ireland: Roman Missal, Part 1

EWTN Cardinal Raymond Burke, prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, delivered the keynote address at the Fourth International Liturgical Conference of the St. Colman’s Society for Catholic Liturgy in Cork, Ireland, in July 2011. Re-airings at 1pm Feb. 28 and 5am March 1.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES Henry Koster directed this 1949 film version of a Clare Booth Luce story about two nuns (Loretta Young and Celeste Holm) from France who enlist local characters in Bethlehem, Conn., to help them start a children’s hospital.

Frontline: Inside Japan’s Nuclear Meltdown

PBS The 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11, 2011, severely damaged the Dai-ichi nuclear complex in Fukushima. This program shows how people responded to the crisis. Re-airs at 9pm March 1.

At 4:30pm Mondays, Cat Chat teaches kids the faith and fun. At 5:30pm Sundays, Timothy O’Donnell explains The Catholic Epistles. At 6:30pm Saturdays, in Fathers for Good, Father Francis Gustilo and Frank Padilla discuss dads. At 4pm Fridays is the animation special The Way of the Cross for Kids. At 4pm Saturdays, in Both Servant and Free, Register columnist Dominican Father Brian Mullady studies Catholic morality. At 1:30pm Thursdays, in Diamonds From Daniel, Frances Hogan meditates on the Book of Daniel.

House Hunters International

HGTV Transferred to Hungary, Houstonian Larry Stanteen and his wife, Carey, find a home in Budapest for themselves and their toddlers, Cade and Chelsea.
