EWTN Father Mark Mary and Doug Barry welcome Andreas Widmer, a former Swiss Guard in Vatican City. The Pontifical Swiss Guard dates from 1506, when Pope Julius II hired a Swiss corps to guard the Vatican. Recruits today are Catholic, single Swiss men, ages 19-30, who have undergone Swiss military basic training. Re-airing 8pm March 1; 1am March 2 and 9am March 5.
