Silver Rush

DISCOVERY This new three-part documentary follows the researchers and technicians from Odyssey Marine Exploration as they try to recover hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of silver and gold from three ships sunk off Ireland and England in 1744 and in World Wars I and II that are thousands of feet down. EWTN At 8am, the friars will celebrate Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Irondale, Ala. At 10:30am, Pope Benedict XVI will lead prayers and a penitential procession from the Basilica of St. Anselm to the Basilica of St. Sabina, where he will say Mass.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL The National Geographic Channel’s first docudrama draws upon Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s history Killing Lincoln and employs recreations as it analyzes the assassination plot, the last days of Lincoln’s life and the fateful night of April 14, 1865.

Men, Women and the Mystery of Love

EWTN Edward Sri, a professor of theology and Scripture at the Augustine Institute in Denver, draws upon Blessed Pope John Paul II’s Love and Responsibility to teach young people about committed love in the vocation of marriage.

On the Waterfront

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES This Catholic-friendly classic crime drama from 1954 stars Marlon Brando, Karl Malden, Eva Marie Saint, Lee J. Cobb and Rod Steiger and is based on the life of "the waterfront priest," Jesuit Father John Corridan. Advisory: A-II, TV-PG.
