4:30 p.m. (1:30 a.m.): Opening Mass celebrated by Cardinal George Pell at Barangaroo

Wed July 16

9 a.m. (Tues July 16 6 p.m.): Catechesis

Thurs July 17

9 a.m. (Wed July 16 6 p.m.): Catechesis

2:45 p.m. (Wed July 16 11:45 p.m.): Pope Benedict XVI’s boat-a-cade at Sydney Harbor

3:30-4.30 p.m (Thurs July 17 12:30-1:30 a.m.): Pope’s arrival at Barangaroo

4:30-5.30 p.m. (Thurs July 17 1:30-2:30 a.m.): Pope’s motorcade through Sydney’s streets

Fri July 18

9 a.m. (Thurs July 17 6 p.m.): Catechesis

3 p.m. (Fri July 18 12 a.m.): Stations of the Cross

Sat July 19

From 5:30 a.m. (Fri July 18 2:30 p.m.): Walk across the Sydney Harbor Bridge to Randwick Racecourse (for registered pilgrims only)

7-9 p.m. (Sat July 19 4-6 a.m.): Vigil with the Pope; sleeping under the stars at Southern Cross Precinct (Randwick Racecourse and Centennial Park)

Sun July 20

9 a.m. (Sat July 19 6 p.m.): Papal flyover and motorcade through Southern Cross Precinct

10 a.m. (Sat July 19 7 p.m.): Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict at Randwick Racecourse and Centennial Park

12:30-5 p.m. (Sat July 19 9:30 p.m. to Sun July 20 2 a.m.): Youth Festival events at Southern Cross Precinct
