Online Obsession?

1 in 13 people in the world are on Facebook, and 48% of 18- to 34-year-old users check their account every day on waking up. Blogger Matthew Warner asks how Christians can be a good influence on the social media.

NCRegister.com blogger Matthew Warner highlighted a recent statistical compilation by OnlineSchools.org called “Obsessed With Facebook.”

Some of the statistics: 1 in 13 people in the world are on Facebook, and 48% of 18- to 34-year-old users check their account every day on waking up.

“I’m obsessed with our obsessions. I know. “We have a natural human desire to be connected. It’s how we were made. So it’s interesting to see the ways that manifests itself when we have the opportunities/temptations. …

“What are some specific ways this trend has helped or hurt your life? What are some ways that we as Christians can be a good influence on this inevitably continuing trend?”

It’s a good thing to consider.
