“Are you a better grandparent than you were a parent?” That was one question the American Family Association recently asked its colleagues and supporters. The majority answered “Yes.” Reasons cited included having more patience with children and feeling less inclination to take oneself so seriously. The association also asked, “What are the most important characteristics of a good grandparent?” Most frequent responses included willingness to spend time with the grandkids, show them unconditional love, pray for them and set a good example.
