It’s a pleasure to read Joseph Campo’s in person interview in this week’s Register.
His company, Grassroots Films, has created an excellent resource for vocations — the DVD “Fishers of Men.”
This short film, produced for the U.S. bishops, is a surprise and a delight. It is exciting, fast paced and dynamic, produced in a contemporary style with the highest quality standards.
We have promoted the film in both the Register and in Faith & Family magazine (the newspaper’s sister publication) and have heard from seminarians for whom the film awakened a vocation, and from at least one priest who said the film revived his flagging commitment to the priesthood and led to a transformation of his spiritual life.
The film is also a good reminder for all of us who are trying to build the Kingdom of Christ in the world that Catholic initiatives should benefit from the same level of professionalism and contemporary standards as would apply to any other work.
It is a philosophy we try to bring to our publications at Circle Media.
