In every issue, the Register brings you stories from around the world that reflect hope and grace in the face of conflict, misfortune and disaster. Our coverage of the people and organizations reaching out financially and prayerfully to those recovering from the earthquakes in Haiti and Japan illustrates just that.
In recent days, we’ve seen that generosity and active faith firsthand, as many of us in the Register/EWTN family living in Alabama watched our friends and neighbors lose everything they had in the destructive tornadoes that hit the southeastern United States.
While our organization was spared from damage, the area was devastated, and we grieve the loss of lives and suffering. As the region recovers, we are joining in prayer and action with Bishop Robert Baker and the Diocese of Birmingham to help in the cleanup and rehabilitation.
We are grateful for your continued prayers, which give us strength to answer this call to serve those in need at this difficult time. God bless you.
