When Gaye Asbill was suffering with incurable multiple
myeloma at home in Jacksonville, Fla., her friend of 40 years told her she’d
send a prayer blanket.
“My frame of mind was extremely bad,” Asbill recalls. “I
dismissed it.”
Her outlook changed when the blanket arrived 10 days later.
“I put my hand on this blanket to pull it out of the bag and
