During his general audience on June 24, Pope Benedict XVI
focused his remarks on the Year for Priests, which he inaugurated on June 19,
the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Holy
Father pointed out that the Year for Priests begins as the Year of St. Paul
draws to an end and commemorates the sesquicentennial of the death of St. John
