Not for Nothing Does the Year of the Priest Kick Off on the Feast of the Sacred Heart

June is the
month the Church dedicates to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We celebrate the
Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 19. The day has
extra significance this year because it begins what Pope Benedict XVI has
proclaimed as the Jubilee Year of the Priest.
The day is a perfect reminder to
renew this devotion to Jesus, while also remembering the “special sons” of his
Sacred Heart.
