I love books and am grateful to have a part in
Circle Media's own Circle Press. To borrow words from the computer world, books
are the most durable, portable, navigable ways to experience a work — and there
is never any connectivity problem.
Our celebration of books starts on
page one with Tim Drake's excellent interview with Piers Paul Read, the British
author whose new book, The Death of a Pope,
is published by Ignatius Press. Drake's conversation with him continues in the
next issue.
The celebration continues, on the
books and education page, with our recommended "summer reading special."
And last but not least, it ends in
Dublin (my native city), with the very important and most beautiful book: the
Book of Kells.
