An Urgent Message from Fr. Owen Kearns LC, Publisher
What we deliver with our journalism, we cannot deliver without your generosity.
The National Catholic Register needs your help. Revenue from subscriptions and advertising can't keep up with the rising cost of payroll, printing, postage and other expenses. We must rely on donations to make up the difference. To continue our hard-hitting investigative reporting, we need your financial support. Please donate today.

Tim Drake’s
no longer in Sydney, but this week we run the last story he filed from there
World Youth Day.
It’s about vocations, and it reminds
me of the marvelous interview he did in our original coverage. He spoke with
Alfio Stuto who played Jesus in the Stations of the Cross.
“The Spirit is really alive,” said
Stuto. “The energy developing throughout the week is unbelievable. You don’t
have to be Catholic to notice that. There’s a buzz, and it’s mystical. … It’s a
reawakening of the Church, and it’s only going to get better.”
You can sense that in this special
vocations issue — in our page-one interview with the soccer star-turned
seminarian and in the faith and vocations guide
in our Section C.
A springtime of vocations is
starting. Use the resources here to help it along.
