During his general audience on April 30, Pope Benedict XVI
spoke about his recent trip to the United States and to the United Nations.
Inspired by the theme “Christ Our Hope,” the purpose of his visit, the Holy
Father said, was to encourage the Catholic community in America to bear witness
to the faith and to carry on the Church’s mission.
