Register Radio / January 6, 2012
This week on Register Radio, Tim Drake takes listeners behind-the-scenes at the National Catholic Register. He speaks with the Register’s managing editor Tom Wehner about what’s involved in putting the newspaper together each week. In our Media Watch segment, Father Robert Barron, founder of Word on Fire ministries and the ambitious Catholicism television series joined us to talk about the media’s frequent distortion of the Church. Interestingly, Father Barron said that the level of hostility in the press towards the faith has increased since 9-11. “The terrorist attacks gave rise to the old enlightenment belief that religion is irrational, and irrationality leads to violence,” said Father Barron.
