Planned Parenthood Takes on the Bishops

Last Wednesday, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops began an unprecedented campaign encouraging all Catholics to oppose health-care reform that includes abortion funding.

As the Senate Finance Committee prepares to vote on health-care legislation, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has made it known that none of the existing bills are adequate. All of them include abortion funding.

First Pastoral Letter on Health Care Released

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to speak with Kansas City-St. Joseph, Mo., Bishop Robert Finn, who told me that he and Kansas City, Kan., Archbishop Joseph Naumann were releasing a pastoral letter on health-care reform.
