Try as it may, Spain’s Socialist government cannot extinguish the faith of its people.
The Christian Post reported that an estimated 1 million people took to the streets of Madrid to protest Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero’s bill that would allow unrestricted abortion at up to 14 weeks of pregnancy and allow girls age 16 and 17 to abort their children without parental consent.

Madrid Readies for WYD 2011

Spanish Ambassador to the Holy See, Francisco Vázquez Vázquez, reports that the government of Spain is actively supporting the organizational efforts for World Youth Day 2011.
Scheduled for August 2011, an official Spanish WYD website has been created for the next WYD to be held in Madrid. Spain expects that the international event may draw as many as 1.5 million youth.
