The Catholic News Agency reports that physicist Aldofo Orozco told participants at the International Marian Congress on Our Lady of Guadalupe that there is no scientific explanation for the 478 years of preservation of the tilma on which the image appears.

Hollywood's Eszterhas Pens Guadalupe Script

The Hollywood Reporter says that film screenwriter Joe Eszterhas is planning a motion picture about Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Eszterhas, director of such sordid films as Basic Instinct and Showgirls, is apparently partnering with Steve McEveety’s MPower Pictures to produce a film about the apparition.
Eszterhas, who is working on the script, described the project as a “labor of love.”

Judge Sonia Sotomayor's face was superimposed on Our Lady of Guadalupe by D.C. attorney Felix Sanchez.
In the midst of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s Supreme Court nomination confirmation hearings, one Washington politico has recast Mexico’s famous Our Lady of Guadalupe image with the face of the high court nominee.

Friday was the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn and of the Americas.
Zenit reported that on Friday 6 million people visited Mexico City’s Basilica of Our Lady in Guadalupe, where the famous tilma with the image of her apparition to St. Juan Diego in 1531 is kept.
